CERNAI hosts and collaborates with researchers working on reasoning, normativity, and artificial intelligence. We are interested in formal and philosophical work as much as in applied and policy-facing research, and we value contributions that cross the usual disciplinary lines.
Doctoral and postdoctoral positions
Funded positions tied to the GENERIC project and to the centre’s wider programme are advertised here as they open.
A postdoctoral position will be open in the Fall of 2026.
When no formal call is open, we are happy to discuss fellowship applications (for example FIS, ERC, MSCA, or national schemes) for which CERNAI could serve as host. Early contact gives the strongest applications.
Visiting researchers
The centre welcomes visiting researchers for stays from a few days to several months. Visitors join the seminar series, present their work, and engage with the GENERIC team. We offer workspace, library access, administrative support; funding for visits depends on the scheme and is discussed case by case. See Visiting for details and to apply.
Collaboration and working papers
We collaborate on papers, workshops, and grant applications across philosophy, legal theory, and AI. The centre also runs a working-paper series; researchers affiliated with or visiting CERNAI are invited to contribute. To propose a collaboration, write to generic@unipv.it with a short description of the work.
