We are pleased to share “Ragionare” (“Reasoning”), the University of Pavia’s podcast on logic and artificial intelligence, hosted by Mattia Vargas, a PhD student in logic and philosophy and a member of our CERNAI research center.
The podcast unfolds in two parts: the first, a four-episode series introduces the fundamental tools of rational thought — from inference to fallacies, from formal logic to the origins of the computer. The second part features interviews with researchers and experts who apply these tools to major topics in contemporary AI: alignment, medicine, existential risk, and tech entrepreneurship. The theme of alignment is discussed with our Director, Prof. Federico Faroldi.
